Job DescriptionService Technician II – Windows & Doors - San Luis Obispo, CAMilgard Windows and Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician II to join our team in San Luis Obispo, CA. With manufacturing facilities across the U.S., we are proud to serve our customers with integrity, innovation, and excellence.Responsibilities:As a Service Technician II, you will:Independently diagnose and repair window and door product issues in the fieldTroubleshoot complex service concerns and determine root cause of failures or installation challengesPerform advanced repairs, adjustments, and part replacements to restore products to proper functionServe as the primary technician on service calls, ensuring timely and professional resolutionCommunicate clearly with customers to explain issues, solutions, and product careComplete accurate documentation of service visits using company systems and mobile toolsFollow work orders, schedules, safety protocols, and company standardsMaintain service vehicles, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized mannerEnsure customer homes and job sites are left clean and restored upon completionManage and track parts inventory within service vehicles or warehouse as neededSupport and mentor entry-level technicians when applicableDevelop working knowledge of MITER Brands product lines, installation methods, and warranty standardsQualifications:High school diploma or GED required2–5+ years of experience in window/door service, installation, carpentry, glazing, construction, or related fieldStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independentlyProven ability to diagnose product issues and perform repairs with minimal supervisionSolid understanding of hand and power tools used in field service environmentsExcellent customer service and communication skillsComfortable using mobile devices (iPad/tablet) for scheduling, documentation, and reportingBasic computer skills (email, data entry)Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record in accordance with company policyBilingual English/Spanish skills a plus, especially in Spanish-speaking communities#MITERsimiWhat We OfferAt MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
