IT Project Manager - EHR Implementation

Requirements

• 7 to 9 years of relevant Project Management experience, with active PMP certification held for a minimum of 5 years.

• Proficiency in leading Electronic Health Record (EHR)/EMR implementations, including transitions from paper-based charting systems.

• Experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide IT projects across full lifecycle phases (planning, design, testing, implementation).

• Experience with organizational change management (OCM) involving independent customer stakeholders.

• Experience in health informatics and health IT, including familiarity with public health programs and issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, execute, and monitor all project activities for EHR implementation, including governance and program transition.

• Develop and manage the Project Management Plan, schedule, budget, and risk/issue logs (RAID+).

• Coordinate cross-functional IT teams, vendors, and program stakeholders to align on solutions and requirements.

• Prepare and deliver status reports, metrics, and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.

• Manage scope changes in accordance with the project's Change Management Plan.

• Mentor junior project management staff and support continual process improvement within the PMO.
