Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room / Perioperative Services

Location: Not specified

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour (07:00 - 17:30). On-call shifts are 12 hours, with weeknight coverage from 7 pm to 7 am and weekend coverage either from 7 pm to 7 am or 7 am to 7 pm.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in the Operating Room / Perioperative Services department. The role involves circulating and scrubbing for various surgical specialties, including orthopedic, general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, ENT, and robotics.

Responsibilities:

Circulate and scrub for various surgeries including total joints, neuro/spine, OB-GYN, trauma, and robotics.
Administer sedation, blood products, and manage drains and epidural pumps.
Perform central line and port-a-cath/vascular access and care.
Provide wound care including the use of wound vacs.
Collaborate with medical and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Current RN license and active compact license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred).
Experience with robotics and ENT procedures strongly preferred.
Previous charge experience is a plus.
