Processing Specialist

Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday Salary: $17.01 per hour Benefits: Sick days, vacation, holidays, IMRF Summary: We are looking for an organized, detail‑oriented individual to join our Technical Services department as a processing specialist. This individual will work closely with our acquisitions and cataloging personnel to process our print and non‑print materials. Duties include verifying item accuracy, placing stickers and other identifying materials on items, receiving and processing newspapers and magazines, updating the department processing manual online, and other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities: Process print and non‑print materials. Receive and process newspapers and magazines. Check items against ILS to verify accuracy of collection codes and call numbers. Check in items and print any holds/requests slips. Collect and distribute mail. Maintain an online file of processing procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma. Comfortable using technology (i.e. digital camera, copier) and computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel).
