Note Must have an active New York State Bar license, 8+ years of litigation experience, 4+ years of commercial arbitration experience, and strong motions practice experience. Personal injury defense experience is required, with technology-sector, app-based, or other high-volume defense experience preferred. Job Description Lead commercial arbitration proceedings for technology company clients from inception through resolution Develop and execute case strategy in close coordination with clients Handle arbitration motions, hearings, appeals, and related litigation proceedings Draft and argue motions to dismiss, motions to compel arbitration, and other dispositive motions Defend personal injury claims throughout the New York City metropolitan area Handle a variety of personal injury matters, including claims involving app-based claimants and off-platform incidents Independently manage a substantial, high-volume caseload Analyze liability, exposure, defenses, and resolution strategies Serve as a primary point of contact for key client accounts Maintain strong client relationships through responsive, strategic legal guidance Supervise and mentor associates and support staff across assigned matters Coordinate litigation strategy, deadlines, discovery, hearings, and other case activities Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's broader litigation practice Contribute to client development and continued growth of key accounts Qualifications Active admission to the New York State Bar required 8+ years of litigation experience 4+ years of commercial arbitration experience Demonstrated personal injury defense experience Strong motions practice background Experience drafting and arguing motions to dismiss and motions to compel arbitration Excellent written and oral advocacy skills Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload Strong case strategy, judgment, and problem-solving abilities Strong client relationship and communication skills Experience supervising or mentoring associates and legal support staff NYC metropolitan area location preferred Technology-sector, app-based, rideshare, transportation, or similarly high-volume defense experience preferred Why You Will Love Working Here You will have substantial autonomy and responsibility over sophisticated litigation and arbitration matters You will work directly with sophisticated clients and play an important role in their legal strategy The firm values experienced litigators who can combine strong advocacy with practical business judgment You will have opportunities to mentor attorneys and contribute to the development of the practice The culture emphasizes teamwork, innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth The firm invests in technology and alternative approaches to delivering legal services Flexible work options help support a healthy work-life balance Benefits include health, life, short-term and long-term disability insurance, 401(k) with generous vested match, and paid time off JPC-1750 Benefits Dental insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr Orion Placement
