Receptionist I

The Receptionist I position will be responsible for the tasks related to the setup of new charts and the breakdown of completed charts. The position will also be responsible for the primary back up for the receptionist II front desk position. Acts as secondary customer service contact for incoming patients and visitors as well as all telephone activity. Update any and all patient demographic and/or insurance information in the SIS system. Directs the patient registration and admission process on a daily bases to expedite customer service. Verifies all patient insurance coverage, collects all co-payments, and/or deductibles and patient self-payments and referrals. Good organizational skills and customer service skills are needed. The receptionist I should be detail oriented and able recognize problem areas while preparing the patient chart.

Experience Required

• Previous data entry or typing experience and knowledge of basic office equipment, required
• EPIC Computer experience, preferred
• One year of experience in customer service or reception, health care environment, preferred

Education Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
