Respiratory Therapist

Providing specialized respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients, the Respiratory Therapist collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver quality interventions in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role involves managing ventilators, administering therapies, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients respiratory conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
• Operate and monitor advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators and high-flow oxygen devices.
• Administer treatments such as aerosol therapies, airway clearance, and bronchodilators.
• Collaborate with clinicians to evaluate patient progress and adjust therapies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid North Carolina Respiratory License.
• Be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Have at least 2 years of critical care experience.
• Demonstrate strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
