School Nurse Opportunity

What you'll bring:

• An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Experience or interest in working with children and adolescents, ages 3-18
• Strong understanding of New York State health requirements for school-aged youth
• Confidence performing health assessments, routine screenings, and testing
• Ability to respond promptly to medical situations and maintain accurate records
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for students during school hours, addressing both acute and chronic health issues
• Conduct and document routine health screenings and tests, such as vision, hearing, and scoliosis checks
• Administer medication and first aid in accordance with state guidelines and care plans
• Maintain up-to-date health records and ensure confidentiality
• Communicate with school staff and families about health concerns and preventive care
• Ensure compliance with all state and district health regulations

Compensation for this position ranges from $33.22 to $53.22. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
