The Avera Behavioral Health Adolescent & Child Units are designed to be a structured and age-appropriate therapeutic environment for adolescents and children to learn to understand problems, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals. Job Summary We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who enjoys working with children ages 5 to 12 and adolescents ages 13 to 17 and their families. The candidate should have a passion for helping patients with conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, addiction, or suicidal behavior; appreciate an active, challenging care environment; value autonomous professional nursing practice; and possess motivation to help create and deliver high-quality patient care in an energizing team environment. Responsibilities Collect data and conduct focused nursing assessments of patient health status. Participate with other health care providers in developing and modifying patient-centered care plans. Implement nursing interventions within the care plan. Assist in evaluating responses to interventions. Ensure maintenance of safe and effective nursing care. Advocate for the best interest of patients. Communicate and collaborate with patients and team members. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the hours specified.
