Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Work Type: Regular Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $24.50 – $48.50 per hour (actual rate depends on experience) Position Highlights Eligible for a Sign On Bonus up to $15,000 Avera Behavioral Health Adult B Unit is a structured, therapeutic environment for adults to learn diagnosis interpretation, develop a Crisis Response Plan, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals. Work with an adult population that has Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders, and Suicidal behavior. Join an energizing team that values autonomous professional nursing practice and critical thinking. Unit: 28 beds, 1 RN for 7‑8 patient ratio, flexible scheduling program. Student Loan Repayment Program: $167 monthly repayment (up to $10,000). What You Will Do Deliver nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis, establishing objectives, and defining interventions. Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Review physician prescriptions and communicate the nursing care plan to the health‑care team. Coordinate with other health‑care providers. Document patient conditions, medications, and care plans in charting systems. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, and regulated substance regulations. Maintain equipment, supplies, and preventive maintenance procedures. Continually evaluate patient care, measure health outcomes, and modify care plans as necessary. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license. Excellent visual acuity and effective communication skills. Ability to work specified hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Required: 1–3 years of clinical experience (preferred).
