Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Engineer, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes within food and beverage production.
• Support aseptic processing and aseptic packaging operations.
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost.
• Develop and implement process improvements within a highly controlled, sterile manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issues and develop effective corrective solutions.
• Support equipment, process, and packaging improvements throughout the manufacturing operation.
• Collaborate with operations, production, quality, maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
• Apply engineering principles to low-acid aseptic food and beverage manufacturing processes.
• Assist with process validation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet quality and production requirements.
• Evaluate manufacturing data and process performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support new products, equipment, processes, and production initiatives as needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on food safety, sterile processing, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 4+ years of process engineering experience.
• Required: Experience with aseptic processing and/or aseptic packaging.
• Strong experience in manufacturing environments; food manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production operations.
• Ability to analyze processes and implement practical engineering solutions.
• Experience working cross-functionally with production, operations, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not required.
• Local Lathrop-area candidates preferred; relocation candidates may be considered for an exceptional fit.
