Senior Treasury Management Officer

A growing private banking organization is looking for an experienced treasury professional to help expand its commercial banking presence in the Phoenix market. This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys working directly with business owners and senior executives and wants more control over their business development efforts. Rather than operating within a large, highly segmented banking organization, this position offers the opportunity to work in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where your ideas, relationships, and production can have a direct impact on the growth of the institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new commercial relationships, expanding existing relationships, and helping clients improve the way they manage cash, payments, liquidity, and working capital. What You'll Do Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective commercial clients through personal networking, referrals, community involvement, centers of influence, and targeted outreach. Develop relationships with business owners, CFOs, controllers, and other key financial decision-makers. Evaluate a company's existing cash management and payment processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, liquidity, security, and working capital. Recommend and sell treasury solutions that align with each client's operating model and financial objectives. Generate new deposits and recurring treasury fee income through new client acquisition and expansion of existing relationships. Work alongside commercial bankers, private bankers, lenders, wealth advisors, and internal product teams to uncover broader opportunities. Lead client presentations and solution discussions, translating complex treasury concepts into clear business and financial benefits. Coordinate the transition from sale through implementation, ensuring new clients receive a highly responsive and personalized onboarding experience. Stay engaged after implementation to identify additional needs, strengthen relationships, and increase wallet share. Maintain a strong understanding of payment technology, fraud controls, liquidity tools, receivables, payables, ACH, wires, cash concentration, and other commercial treasury services. Maintain appropriate documentation and adhere to applicable regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements. What We're Looking For 8+ years of experience in treasury management, treasury sales, commercial banking, private banking, or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated success developing commercial relationships and generating new business. Experience producing measurable results in commercial deposits and treasury-related revenue. Strong understanding of cash management, commercial payments, liquidity, receivables, payables, fraud prevention, and working capital solutions. Ability to conduct consultative sales conversations with sophisticated business clients and senior decision-makers. Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable prospecting independently and building a market presence. Ability to work effectively in a smaller, entrepreneurial organization where collaboration and individual ownership are important. Bachelor's degree preferred; CTP or other relevant professional credentials are a plus.
