Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3×12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) | 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, 92-bed Level I Trauma emergency department with a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio
• Manage and care for patients presenting with acute stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH), acute MI, seizures, sepsis, congestive heart failure, trauma, and diabetes-related emergencies
• Administer and monitor continuous IV drips and telemetry for critically ill patients
• Support neuro-medicine and neurosurgical subspecialty patient populations including trauma cases such as MVCs, falls, and penetrating injuries
• Perform or assist with ESI triage assessment and prioritization of emergency patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver timely, evidence-based emergency interventions

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Demonstrated experience in a Level I Trauma emergency setting
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and IV drip management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ESI Triage training or certification
• Experience managing neuro-medicine or neurosurgical patient populations
• Familiarity with acute stroke protocols and trauma management workflows
