Work Environment

The position is based at our onsite facility in San Jose, which provides a vibrant and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our team collaborates closely to create a healing environment that advocates for continual improvement and innovation in therapeutic practices. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in designing and implementing individualized treatment programs tailored to patient-specific orthopedic needs.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and various modalities under the guidance of the Physical Therapist to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, contributing to treatment plans with insightful observations about patient responses and recovery trajectories.
• Provide patient education on exercises, injury prevention strategies, and safe movement techniques, empowering individuals to take an active role in their own recovery.
• Set up and operate therapeutic equipment, ensuring efficacy and compliance with safety regulations, while also educating patients on its use.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records in accordance with clinic policies and procedures, ensuring a seamless flow of information among staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to clarify treatment plans, progress, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
• Help maintain a clean, functional, and organized treatment environment, contributing to overall clinic operations where necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients undergoing recovery from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our diverse patient population ranges from active athletes to seniors seeking rehabilitation for age-related conditions. You will play a crucial role in creating personalized care strategies that directly impact the recovery journey of each individual you encounter.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient orthopedic therapy.
• Strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and intervention modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary team members.
• Demonstrated ability to follow treatment protocols and contribute to patient care planning.
• Compassionate demeanor and commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinic management software is desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with injury prevention and strength training programs.
• Background in developing educational materials for patients focused on self-management and recovery.
• Knowledge of advanced rehabilitation technologies and techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

You will receive a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
