Each and every member of our professional and support staff is dedicated to this ideal - physicians, nurses, technicians and support personnel.Position Overview: The Endoscopy Tech is responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse and Physician in the performance of duties and procedures for endoscopy.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for setting up procedure rooms, layout of supplies, selection of proper scopesPrepares endoscopy procedure room after each procedure by following infection control practices including disinfection of all surfaces etcCleaning and flushing of scopes following national standards and guidelines for infection control practicesMonitor and maintain the automated endoscopic reprocessing equipment including performance of control monitoring/quality assurance procedures with regard to equipment and disinfectantsMaintain autoclave and processing all sterilization procedures on instruments following guidelines and maintaining all spore testing and autoclave logsAssist with handling specimens and transport to lab, and assist with transport of patients into and out of procedure roomsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentTraining in endoscopic equipment cleaning processesExperience a plus with on the job trainingComputer skillsProven ability to sit or stand for extended periods of timeFull COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role.
