Role Description The Corporate Partner will lead and grow WB’s corporate practice, advising government contractors and technology companies on transactions, governance, compliance, and strategic initiatives. Daily responsibilities include counseling corporate clients on structuring deals, drafting and negotiating commercial and government-related contracts, and advising on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and joint ventures. The role will involve close collaboration with colleagues across the firm on matters that blend corporate law with government contracts, regulatory issues, and investigations, as well as mentoring and supervising associates in corporate matters. The Corporate Partner will also build and maintain client relationships, participate in business development, and contribute to firm strategy and leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications

The Corporate Partner will also build and maintain client relationships, participate in business development, and contribute to firm strategy and leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex corporate, regulatory, and government contracts issues and to develop practical, risk-balanced solutions.
- Finance skills and experience with corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, and contract valuations in a government contracting or technology context.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written advocacy, contract drafting, and confident oral presentation to clients, colleagues, and counterparties.
- Client-focused mindset and customer service skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships and managing high-stakes, sensitive matters.
- Experience providing training and mentoring to associates and staff on corporate, transactional, and compliance topics.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; eligibility for admission in Washington, D.C. strongly preferred.
- Significant experience as a corporate attorney, ideally including work with government contractors, technology companies, or matters involving the federal government.
- Demonstrated ability to originate and develop client relationships, contribute to business development, and collaborate effectively within a small-firm environment.
