Staff AccountantLocation: Elkhart, IndianaSalary Range: $50,000 – $70,000 annuallySchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMWork Environment: 100% On-SiteStaff Accountant – OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the accounting and finance team with daily accounting operations and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and supporting month-end close processes.The ideal Staff Accountant will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with accounting systems in a fast-paced business environment.Staff Accountant – ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracyAssist with month-end and year-end close processesReconcile balance sheet and bank accountsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as neededPrepare financial reports and assist with variance analysisMaintain supporting documentation and schedules for financial transactionsAssist with audit preparation and provide documentation for auditorsReview financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policiesCollaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepanciesStaff Accountant – QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPreferred ExperienceExperience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Epicor, or DynamicsExperience supporting audits and financial reporting processesManufacturing, distribution, or service industry accounting experience
