ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Charleston, South Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Will work 3x12s, Days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM). On-call required up to 4 shifts every 4 weeks, with weekend coverage of up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks. Must work at least one holiday period during the assignment.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be part of the Main Operating Room within a level-one academic trauma center, covering all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. The nursing team comprises 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists, with an emphasis on nurses being trained to both scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures in both scrub and circulating roles.
• Provide optimal patient care during surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC charting system.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing a radiation badge.

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse strongly preferred.
• Scrub experience in an operating room setting is highly desired.
• First-timers are accepted; strong organizational skills are a plus.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must possess a valid South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Radiation badge required; provided by the agency.
