Junior Varsity Volleyball Coaches

Overview Reed City High School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our athletic department for the upcoming volleyball season. We currently have two positions available: Junior Varsity Head Volleyball Coach and Junior Varsity Assistant Volleyball Coach. These roles are ideal for individuals passionate about volleyball and committed to fostering a positive, competitive, and growth-oriented environment for student-athletes. Coaches will work closely with the varsity coaching staff to develop players’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while supporting the overall success of the volleyball program. Responsibilities Assist in planning and conducting daily practice sessions, focusing on skill development and team strategies. Support the team and program by preparing for competitions, including game-day preparations and logistics. Teach fundamental volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, and hitting techniques. Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance individual and team growth. Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff regarding team activities, schedules, and player progress. Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and competitions. Assist in the organization and execution of team events, including fundraisers and community outreach. Uphold school policies and regulations while promoting the values of Reed City High School. Qualifications Previous experience playing or coaching volleyball at the high school level or higher is preferred. Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, players, and parents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must pass a background check and comply with all school and district requirements for coaching staff.
