Lead HVAC Technician

Job Responsibilities Prioritize assigned maintenance work to execute emergency breakdown response. Report to immediate supervisor items affecting or potentially affecting proper and safe operation of plant and equipment. Maintain an acceptable backlog of planned maintenance activity. Run service calls, repair plumbing, electric, mechanical and other equipment in a timely, efficient manner. Maintain inventory of hospital standard finishes for repairs. Assist Director or Manager on department systems and functions as directed. Report safety issues and work with Director or Manager to determine corrective action. Develop and update technical policies and procedures. Attend construction rounds and report deficiencies. Assist in scheduling workload, work order assignment, and plant coverage. Order necessary parts and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair systems and components, inspect and complete service requests efficiently. Coordinate with contractors on scheduling and repairs. Coordinate utility shutdown requests with departments and contractors. Perform maintenance risk assessments prior to work on life security devices (e.g., fire, protection, utilities, HVAC). Respond to water intrusion events to minimize loss and prevent mold. Monitor and record moisture levels; trace roof leaks and report roof conditions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in a related discipline.
