Cytotechnologist
Responsible for the preparation, processing, and screening of cytologic specimens in compliance with policies of the department and the medical center. Duties include, but not limited to, preparing reagents for procedures, performing cytology prep, performing routine maintenance on lab instruments and equipment, maintaining supplies, assisting pathologist and/or radiologist with cytology-related procedures, maintaining departmental statistics, overseeing the CAP cytopathology checklist.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree; ASCP registration as a Cytotechnologist; minimum of two years recent experience as a Cytotechnologist. Applicants must have: a passion for caring for a community through quality work in a stand-alone hospital lab. A drive to learn new practices to be able to adapt to our rapidly growing test menu. A willingness to offer new ideas to the team to help with our culture of continuous improvement. A high level of attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
