Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans Provide direct care for complex wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and ostomies Implement and monitor evidence-based wound care treatments and interventions Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to nursing staff and providers on wound care management Educate patients, families, and staff on wound prevention, treatment, and skin integrity maintenance Monitor and track wound healing progress; adjust care plans as needed Lead and support hospital-wide initiatives for pressure injury prevention and skin care Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including documentation and reporting requirements Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, dietitians, physical therapists, and case management Assist with product evaluation and selection of wound care supplies and equipment Conduct audits, collect data, and support quality improvement initiatives related to wound care outcomes Provide staff education and competency validation related to wound care practices Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred DC RN License required Minimum 2–3 years of acute care nursing experience Experience in wound care, med-surg, or critical care preferred BLS certification required Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWON, or WOCN) required Benefits As a Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center employee, you will be part of an exceptional team with the following benefit offerings: Challenging and rewarding work environment Competitive Compensation & Generous Paid Time Off Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plans 401(K) with company match and discounted stock plan SoFi Student Loan Refinancing Program Career development opportunities within UHS and its 300+ Subsidiaries!
