Physical Therapist - School Setting in Chapel Hill, NC

Step into a rewarding opportunity working with students in the vibrant Research Triangle area of North Carolina. This full-time, school-based Physical Therapist assignment runs through the end of the academic year, providing a vital service to a diverse group of learners across elementary, middle, and high school settings. You'll have the chance to develop meaningful connections as you travel between approximately five to nine schools in Central and North-Central Durham, supporting a caseload of around 30-40 students whose needs may vary throughout the assignment.


Your expertise will guide students toward mobility, function, and higher participation within the educational environment. Engage with collaborative teams and make a difference in young lives every day.


Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in a school setting is required
• Active PT license in North Carolina
• Adaptability to travel between assigned school locations
• Ability to manage a varied caseload spanning different age groups and needs
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to working collaboratively with educational teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment and therapy services to students from elementary through high school
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with staff and families
• Develop individualized therapy plans in accordance with educational goals
• Flexibly adjust to the evolving needs of the district and assigned caseload
• Cover multiple school sites, offering on-site support as required

Details:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)
• School hours range from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm depending on site assignment
