Associate Sterile Processing Technician - General Surgery

Description

OR Core Technician receives case carts from CP for surgical procedure, picks suture and gloves for each procedure and clears cases. Assists room staff by having carts organized and supplies accessible for quick retrieval. OR Core Tech is responsible for maintaining core inventory, cycle counts and outdates, keeping core orderly, filling warmers and rotating stock and wrapping core items and maintaining a clean, safe workplace.

Required Qualifications:

• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Current certification as Central Processing Technician or current certification as OR Technician
• Experience in Sterile Processing.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
