Overview Pharmacist - Per Diem/PRN at Select Specialty Hospital Saginaw, a critical illness recovery hospital located in Saginaw, Michigan. The role supports pharmaceutical services in a world-class inpatient post-ICU setting for chronically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Location: Saginaw, Michigan (Select Specialty Hospital - Saginaw) Responsibilities Have a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture. Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment. Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times. Correctly inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged. Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs. Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring. Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement. Minimum Qualifications Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure. Current State licensure required. BLS if required by State. Preferred Qualifications Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
