Immigration Legal AssistantThe Law Office of Abhisha Parikh is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Immigration Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team in Edison, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone with experience reviewing immigration filings and supporting attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced legal environment.As an Immigration Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our team provide exceptional service to clients navigating complex immigration matters. We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives on organization, accuracy, and client-focused support.Key ResponsibilitiesReview immigration intake forms for accuracy and completenessReview and organize supporting documentation for immigration filingsAssist attorneys and paralegals with case preparation and file managementDraft client declarations and other supporting legal documentsManage office communications, including answering phone calls and responding to emailsSchedule meetings, consultations, and appointmentsTrack case deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on pending mattersCommunicate with clients, government agencies, and other legal offices as neededPrepare, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondenceMaintain accurate records within legal case management systemsProvide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the firmQualifications1–2 years of experience in a law firm, legal assistant, administrative assistant, or legal secretary rolePrior experience reviewing immigration forms and supporting documents preferredStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFluency in Hindi or GujaratiProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and ExcelExperience with legal case management, docketing, or legal software systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or some college coursework preferredWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly compensationOpportunity to work alongside experienced immigration attorneys and legal professionalsSupportive, collaborative, and mission-driven work environmentMeaningful work helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration systemProfessional growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding law firmAbout the Law Office of Abhisha ParikhThe Law Office of Abhisha Parikh is a woman-owned and woman-led immigration law firm dedicated to helping immigrants achieve their American dream.
