Production Planner

We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our client's Operations team at a Fort Worth manufacturing facility. In this role, you’ll serve as the heart of the plant floor, balancing customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material availability to keep our production lines running seamlessly.

salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities

As the Production Planner, you will bridge the gap between Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Engineering. You'll own the production schedule, proactively solve constraints, and keep priorities aligned across teams.

• Build & Maintain Schedules: Develop realistic daily and weekly master production schedules aligned with plant capacity, customer orders, and inventory targets.

• Manage Materials & MRP: Monitor material availability, review MRP recommendations, and partner with Purchasing to resolve shortages before they impact production.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead daily production updates, communicate priorities, and partner with Customer Service to prioritize orders during peak demand. 

• Support NPI & Engineering: Coordinate planning activities for new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes.

• Drive Continuous Improvement: Track and report key metrics (Schedule Attainment, On-Time Completion, Material Shortages) and recommend process improvements.

• Maintain System Integrity: Manage accurate planning data in the ERP system and support inventory planning and monthly counts. Excel Proficiency a must.
