Patient Care Coordinator

Location: Kissimmee, FL
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour (Paid Weekly)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Optum is seeking an experienced Care Coordinator to join its team in Kissimmee, FL . This role is responsible for coordinating patient referrals and ensuring patients receive timely, appropriate care while meeting insurance and healthcare organization requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong healthcare background, excellent communication skills, and experience working with referrals and EMR systems.

Responsibilities:

• Generate referral orders and coordinate patient referrals.
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies.
• Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients regarding referrals and appointments.
• Process, scan, and upload faxes into the eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system.
• Coordinate with primary care providers, specialists, hospitals, clinics, and insurance companies.
• Ensure referrals and authorizations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
• Provide excellent customer service while assisting patients throughout the referral process.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of patient care experience.
• 3+ years of healthcare experience.
• 3+ years of managed care experience.
• Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR .
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual.
• Previous experience as a Referral Coordinator.
• Knowledge of eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR.

• Scrubs or professional business attire.
