Job Description Summary The Ambulatory Registered Nurse II provides clinical nursing care to the patient and works alongside the provider team and other clinical staff during the patient’s clinic appointment. Duties include utilizing the nursing process, order entry, providing patient education, assisting with procedures, charting in the EMR (EPIC), managing patient in-basket messages, and coordinating care. Key Responsibilities Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and leads other team members, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice. Provides patient/family centered care focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. Coordinates care management, identifies clinical priorities, and initiates actions to improve patient outcomes. Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. Registered Nurse licensed by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Minimum one year of RN work experience. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within four years.
