This urgent care facility operates on an on-site basis, providing walk-in urgent care services to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients 3 months and older. The facility requires clinicians to hold board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds and to maintain an active state license and active state DEA. Established clinical protocols and a range of available shift lengths support consistent, quality-focused care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period.

The area surrounding this assignment serves as a base for outdoor recreation, with a nearby state park offering opportunities for hiking, canoeing, and bird watching. A local city park spanning 100 acres features walking trails, volleyball courts, and disc golf, providing accessible leisure options for clinicians on assignment. Regional dining includes Tex-Mex, seafood, and Cajun cuisine, and nearby attractions such as a wildlife park and Colorado Canyon offer additional recreational options. The Gulf Coast and a major metropolitan area are within reach, further extending the range of activities available during time away from the assignment.

Clinicians will provide urgent care services during day shifts at an on-site clinic, with shift lengths of 7, 8, 12, and 15 hours available across all 7 days of the week. Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds is required, along with an active state license, active state DEA, prescriptive authority, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting. Clinicians must be prepared to treat pediatric patients 3 months of age and older; Workers' Compensation experience is preferred and DOT certification is beneficial. This is a high-volume assignment with an expected patient throughput of 2-4 patients per hour; no call responsibilities are associated with this position.
