Electro-Optical Engineer Associate Manager

Overview You will be the Electro-Optical Engineer Associate Manager for the F-16 EO/IR Team, responsible for designing, testing, and integrating F-16 EO/IR systems and subsystems. Responsibilities Lead a high-performing team of engineers in the design, test, and integration of F-16 EO/IR systems and subsystems. Manage, mentor, and guide a team of engineers to foster innovation and technical leadership across the F-16 platforms. Managing complex technical projects and practicing effective project management, problem resolution and risk management techniques. Interpreting customer requirements, creating system and equipment level requirements, and developing statements of work, implementation, test, integration, and closure. Coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, various Lockheed Martin groups, and customers to develop effective proposals. Allocating direct report work assignments by leveraging their skills and long-term goals. Following Lockheed Martin’s performance review process by setting clear expectations, providing and receiving focused feedback, performing salary discussions, and encouraging recognition. Experience in project management. Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). Experience in supplier management. Experience leading and developing a multidisciplinary team. Desired Skills Technical leadership experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience presenting to internal and external customers and suppliers. Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration, and working cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams. Experience on F-35, F-22, F-16, or other fighter platforms. Experience in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships. Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements. Excellent presentation skills and ability to convey focused messages to internal senior leadership and external customers. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Location Fort Worth, TX Work Arrangements Workplace: Onsite full-time. Work schedule: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from a standard 40-hour week over five days to condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office, in addition to paid time-off benefits.
