Summary Responsible for managing shifts, training, cash handling, customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with all Food Safety and company policies to meet Q.S.C. standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following and other duties may be assigned: Ability to get along with co-workers. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Greet the customer. Handle cash and deposits. Maintain good to excellent employee performance evaluations. Execute WE Learn Training and be certified in all positions. Demonstrate ability to operate restaurant and handle basic cash handling procedures. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Observe and comply with all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the business environment. Understand and maintain Q.S.C. standards. Utilize position chart effectively. Perform effective manager walks. Manage subordinate staff and run shifts. Assist other managers as required (training, supervising, etc.). Comply with all safety and health standards and applicable rules and regulations. Ensure execution of the restaurant’s overall Human Resources programs. Manage subordinate crew employees to maximize retention and achieve turnover goals. Resolve performance issues with subordinate employees, including counseling and disciplining using consistent practices and following company policies and laws. Notify GM of all performance issues with subordinate employees. Serve as a role model for subordinate employees. Ensure compliance with all employment laws. Maintain a respectful and dignified work environment. Follow the Open Door Policy. Must be Serve-Safe Certified. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. *Regular attendance is an essential function of this position* Supervisory Responsibilities There is one subordinate supervisor reporting directly to this position (Crew Leader), which includes crew and host/hostess. There could be as many as 30 employees reporting to the subordinate supervisor and up to 7 employees on a shift. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Crew Leader Certification, Shift Supervisor Certification.
