A day in the life

You clock in for 2nd or 3rd shift at our well-established manufacturing facility in the Lehigh Valley. The radio crackles, a production line flags a fault, and you’re on it—diagnosing an issue on a PLC-controlled system, reading the schematic, and getting the line running safely and quickly. Later, you’re swapping a motor and aligning a drive, logging the work in SAP, and closing out preventive maintenance tasks so tomorrow’s shift starts strong. Before shift end, you check boiler readings, verify the water softener is in spec, and coordinate a contractor’s work on a small facilities project.

Compensation and employment path

• Starting pay up to $36/hr, based on experience
• Contract-to-hire and direct-hire opportunities
• Weekly pay for contract employees

What you’ll handle

• Daily plant upkeep, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on industrial machinery and PLC-controlled systems
• Root-cause and repair of breakdowns on machines and production lines
• Machine setup, adjustments, assembly/disassembly, and changeovers
• Install and align motors, belts, drives, and mechanical components
• Close out work orders promptly and support special projects
• Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and CAD drawings
• Document PMs, downtime, and work requests in SAP and PC-based systems
• Monitor building systems, including boilers and water softeners
• Assist with building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Respond to radio calls for maintenance needs across the plant
• Coordinate and oversee tasks performed by outside contractors

What you bring

• Hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance background
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Familiarity with PLCs, motors, sensors, drives, and control systems (preferred)
• Self-starter who collaborates well with a team
• Safety-first mindset, reliability, and professionalism
• Willing and able to work 2nd or 3rd shift
