A leading multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Construction Surveying Project Manager to join its Hampton Roads team in Virginia Beach, VA. The organization provides a broad range of civil/site, construction engineering, and survey and geospatial services, including construction stake-out and other surveying services supporting land development and infrastructure projects.

This position will oversee construction surveying activities from the office and field, working closely with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and site superintendents to ensure accurate and efficient project execution. The role will also be responsible for coordinating field personnel, supporting project estimates and proposals, and maintaining quality and documentation standards across multiple active projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Communicate directly with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and site superintendents throughout various construction layout projects.
- Review site development, structural, and architectural plans and perform the necessary calculations for construction stakeout and field layout.
- Complete post-stakeout calculations, including grading cut sheets and stakeout delta reports, and prepare corresponding stakeout sketches.
- Coordinate and schedule field personnel across multiple construction surveying projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor and maintain field and office quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain organized digital files, drawings, reports, and other project documentation.
- Perform quantity and item takeoffs to support cost estimates and proposals.
- Develop cost estimates and assist with technical reports and proposals related to construction surveying projects.
- Prepare and/or review as-built drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support effective coordination between field and office personnel throughout the lifecycle of construction surveying projects.

Key Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional surveying experience.
- At least 1 year of experience managing construction surveying projects.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing survey projects and coordinating field operations.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple construction projects and priorities simultaneously.

Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson surveying software.
- Familiarity with Trimble surveying equipment and software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards in both field and office environments.
