Parent Café Coordinator (50%)

Status: Part-time, 20 hours per week; Non-Exempt

Location: The Matthews House, Fort Collins, CO; hybrid option up to 20% of total work hours

Pay Range: $24-$25.50/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Parent Café Coordinator is a hands-on role responsible for strengthening families and building community by leading the planning, facilitation, and expansion of Parent Café programming across The Matthews House. This position creates welcoming, relationship-centered spaces where caregivers can connect, share experiences, and build protective factors that support family stability and child well-being. The Coordinator organizes facilitators, partners, and logistics; supports culturally responsive delivery; and helps amplify family voice and peer-to-peer support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field is required; a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or Counseling is preferred.

• 1+ years of experience in family engagement, group facilitation, community organizing, or a related human services role is required.

• 2+ years of experience coordinating parent leadership, peer support, or prevention-focused family programs, ideally within Family Resource Centers or school-based settings, is preferred.

• First Aid/CPR certification is required.

• Knowledge of the Parent Café model and the Strengthening Families protective factors framework is preferred.

• Strong group facilitation, relationship-building, outreach, organization, and communication skills.

• Ability to track attendance, outcomes, and feedback in Community Care Link (CCL), Salesforce, and other required systems.

• Reliable transportation is required; up to 50% travel may be expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Coordination & Implementation – 30%

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate Parent Café sessions, including site selection, facilitator assignments, materials, childcare, meals, and transportation support.

• Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery aligned with the Parent Café model and TMH standards.

Facilitation & Family Engagement – 25%

• Facilitate or co-facilitate Parent Café sessions.

• Build trusting, strengths-based relationships with caregivers, encourage participation, and support inclusive, culturally responsive group spaces.

• Identify and address barriers to attendance and retention.

Community Partnership & Outreach – 15%

• Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and referral partners to expand access and host Cafés.

• Conduct outreach and presentations to increase awareness and referrals.

Documentation, Data & Reporting – 15%

• Maintain accurate attendance records, participant feedback, and outcome tracking in Community Care Link (CCL) and required reporting systems.

• Support grant reporting, quality assurance, and compliance with funder requirements.

Training & Quality Assurance – 10%

• Recruit, train, and support facilitators and volunteers.

• Ensure fidelity to the Parent Café model and participate in supervision, coaching, and continuous quality improvement activities.

Program Development & Support – 5%

• Assist with curriculum adaptation, bilingual materials, special events, and integration of Parent Cafés within Family Resource Center programming and other TMH initiatives.

Assist with other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

• Part-time, 20 hours per week, generally between Monday through Friday; hours may vary based on business needs.

• Some evenings and weekends may be required to support Parent Café sessions, family events, and community programming.

• This role is based at The Matthews House in Fort Collins and includes community-based work and travel to partner and program sites.
