Mobile Diesel Mechanic
Melrose Park, IL
Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
$35-$45/hour with flexibility based on experience
We’re hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join a busy fleet service operation based out of Melrose Park. Most jobs are within 45 minutes of the shop, so you’ll stay local and be home every day.
This is a steady, full-time position for a mechanic who can work independently, diagnose issues properly, and handle repairs without someone looking over their shoulder all day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Mobile diesel repair and maintenance
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- PM services
- Brake, suspension, electrical, and general repair work
- Working on fleet trucks and equipment
- Some engine-related work (Cummins experience is a plus)
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic ability
- Fleet or independent shop background is a strong fit
- CDL is helpful but not required
- Reliable, self-motivated mechanic who takes pride in their work
Pay & Benefits
- $35-$45/hr with flexibility for a solid technician
