About Main Stage Athletics

Main Stage Athletics helps Mid-Atlantic youth athletes get seen by college coaches. Our membership is built on SportsRecruits — the platform college coaches use to find and contact players — with a person behind it who builds the athlete's profile with the family and keeps it visible. Families pay $49 a month, or $29 a month through a partner club or school. Our first partners are soccer clubs; the playbook works for any club or school sport, and we are expanding.

The job

You market and sell the membership to families through their clubs and school programs. The motion is simple and already built: get 30 minutes with a club's families, run a short session on how college recruiting actually works and what the platform does, and sign families up in the room at the partner rate. Then you get each new family started on a 15-minute call within 48 hours.

This is a selling job with a presentation at the center of it. If you can open a conversation with a director of coaching, hold a room of forty parents for half an hour, and ask for the sign-up at the end, you will do well here.

What you will do

• Work a ready-made target list. We hand you 40-plus clubs and school programs in your territory with named contacts, ranked, in HubSpot. You add to it as you learn the area.
• Book the sessions. Email and phone outreach to directors of coaching and athletic directors (templates provided), aiming for two sessions a week. The ask of the organization is small: 30 minutes with families, one invitation email, and their OK on the partner rate.
• Present and close. Deliver the 30-minute “Get on SportsRecruits” session (deck and run-of-show provided): why now, a live look at the platform, what the membership adds, the $29 offer with a QR code, questions. Families join on the spot.
• Get families started. Within 48 hours of each sign-up, a 15-minute screen-share call to build the athlete's profile with the parent and get the first video up. This is the part that makes the membership real.
• Follow up. A text at 72 hours and a last note at day 7 to families who did not join; a check-in at day 30 with every member; a one-page monthly note to each partner director.
• Keep HubSpot current. Log every touch, move the deal, send a short Friday update: sessions booked, families in the room, members signed and activated.

Who you are

• You can sell. Sales or business-development experience — inside sales, field sales, fundraising, admissions, membership — or you are the person friends describe as “could sell anything.”
• You are comfortable presenting. Required. You will stand in front of parents, on a field or on Zoom, and run a tight 30 minutes with questions at the end. Practice deck is yours from day one.
• You know your way around youth sports. Former player, coach, club or booster parent, team manager, referee, trainer — any sport. It is the credibility that gets directors to say yes.
• You are local and mobile. Based in Baltimore or Central Maryland with a car and a laptop; some evenings and weekends, because that is when families are at the field.
• You run your own week. Self-directed, organized, and honest in the CRM.

Nice to have: existing relationships with area clubs or athletic directors; familiarity with college recruiting; a second language spoken in your territory.

The deal

Engagement: independent contractor (1099), about 15–20 hours a week, flexible around club calendars. Start Monday, October 19, 2026. First 90 days run as a pilot; we revisit the retainer as the territory proves out.

Pay: a $1,000 a month retainer, plus $50 for every session you deliver with five or more families in the room, plus $75 for every family who joins through you and gets activated on the platform (paid the Friday after the member's second monthly payment). Two sessions a week and ten to fifteen new members a month works out to roughly $2,100–2,500 a month.

Territory: Baltimore City and Baltimore County, Anne Arundel, Howard, Carroll, Harford, and the Eastern Shore. (Our first representative covers DC, Montgomery, Prince George's and Northern Virginia.)

Support: the outreach playbook and templates, the session deck, a researched target list in HubSpot, the partner-page and QR setup for every club you sign, and direct access to the founder and to the representative who built the playbook.
