Overview

Insight Global is seeking experienced Pipefitters to support ship repair and maintenance operations in Kings Bay, Georgia. This position involves installing, repairing, assembling, inspecting, and testing piping systems in a maritime maintenance environment.

Candidates should have recent experience in submarine maintenance, naval ship repair, commercial ship repair, or a comparable heavy industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Cut existing and new piping joints
Perform end preparation of piping joints
Fit and align piping components
Complete required documentation and quality assurance forms
Disassemble mechanical joints
Inspect mechanical joints for proper condition and operation
Assemble mechanical joints
Install testing equipment and test pumps
Inspect piping systems and certify operational readiness
Troubleshoot and test shipboard components
Communicate and support safe execution of testing procedures
Restore systems to normal operating condition following testing activities

Requirements

Must currently hold an active security clearance
Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant experience in:
Submarine maintenance
Naval ship repair
Commercial ship repair
Heavy industrial pipefitting environments
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Ability to climb ladders and work within confined spaces aboard vessels

Nice to Have

Active OSHA 10 certification (Insight Global will provide and pay 10 hours of training prior to start)
Confined Space certification (Insight Global will provide and pay 10 hours of training prior to start)

Physical Requirements

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Climb ladders and access elevated work areas
Work safely in confined spaces and shipboard environments
