Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a cardiac stepdown unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler assessments
• Assist with peritoneal dialysis as required within scope of practice
• Document patient care accurately using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac stepdown or a related specialty (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR
• Ability to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Willingness to work required holidays per assignment period per holiday policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation in a stepdown or progressive care setting
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis procedures
• Experience working in a high-census environment with consistent patient loads
