Highly Qualified Middle School Paraprofessional

Anoka-Hennepin School District Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

Anoka-Hennepin School District is seeking dedicated and compassionate Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals to support middle school students in a variety of educational settings. Position Details
Position: Middle School Paraprofessional
District: Anoka-Hennepin School District
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Start Date: Approximately August 31, 2026
Contract Length: 90-day contract-to-hire period
Conversion Eligibility: Opportunity to become a direct hire with the district after approximately 422 hours worked
Responsibilities
Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially throughout the school day
Assist teachers with classroom activities and instructional support
Work with students individually and in small groups
Provide supervision and guidance in various school settings
Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting when required
Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment
Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following Highly Qualified requirements:

Option 1
Pass the Minnesota Para Educator (Highly Qualified Para) Exam
Option 2
Have a minimum of 60 completed college credits
Official college transcripts are required for verification
Required Documents

To be considered, candidates must provide:

Current resume
Proof of Highly Qualified status:
Official college transcripts showing at least 60 credits, or
Passing Para Educator/ParaPro exam score report

Please note: Diplomas or degree certificates alone do not satisfy the Highly Qualified requirement.
