Screw Machine Setup/Operator

Job TitleJob DutiesSets up screw machine according to lay-out, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.Loads stock reel by lifting stock into position; verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to customer specifications.Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, and knurling; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Follow established quality procedures, documentation, and safety guidelines in a fast-paced production environment.Support quick changeovers and efficient production flow to meet customer delivery expectations.Minimum Education RequiredHigh School/GED RequiredAssociated/Certificate a PlusMinimum Experience RequiredThis position can be entry level for the right candidate.3+ years experience operating and setting up multi-spindle screw machine.
