Job Description

LGT Capital Partners is seeking to add a Healthcare Equity Investment Analyst to its
Equity team, which is part of the Liquid Markets division. This individual will join a highperforming
portfolio management team responsible for managing global public
equity strategies with a strong emphasis on sustainability and impact. The successful
candidate will serve as the lead healthcare sector analyst, taking ownership of
identifying and recommending compelling investment opportunities. While
healthcare expertise is the priority, LGT is open to candidates who also bring broader
sector experience or complementary skill sets that can enhance the team's overall
capabilities. They will conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of businesses, assess the
industries in which they operate, and evaluate both financial and sustainability-related
risk profiles. The insights generated will directly inform investment decisions and
contribute to the continued success of the team's strategies.

Role and Responsibilities
• Serve as a lead analyst within the Equity team, part of the Liquid Markets division
• Lead global healthcare sector coverage, conducting comprehensive fundamental
and sustainability/impact-focused research
• Develop deep expertise in the global healthcare sector and continuously monitor
relevant market trends and company-specific developments

Produce high-quality investment research reports and support recommendations through robust financial and sustainability/impact analysis, including company modelling, management meetings, sell-side research, and expert network calls, etc.

Manage the global healthcare sector recommendation list, identifying and maintaining high-conviction investment ideas for the team
•
Present investment theses and recommendations to portfolio managers and fellow analysts, contributing to the overall portfolio construction process

Support the team's active ownership efforts, including company engagements and stewardship initiatives
•
Contribute to client and marketing-related activities by providing sector insights and supporting materials for external communications and meetings

Requirements

• Experience, Skills, and Personal Qualities
  •
  Experience in equity research, with natural interest and passion for equity markets and sustainability/impact investments
  •
  Ideally 5+ years of investment experience in an equity research role on the buy-side or sell-side, with a focus on the global healthcare sector
  •
  Investment experience in global healthcare companies
  •
  Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process
  •
  Excellent accounting/finance skills
  •
  Proven financial modelling skills and an understanding of how to value companies
  •
  Excellent English writing and communication skills, including personal or professional experience in an English-speaking environment
  •
  Good team player who can also function independently
  •
  Ability to work with colleagues at other global offices of the firm, and to manage communications and schedules accordingly
  Education and Credentials
  •
  A bachelor's degree from a reputable academic institution, preferably in finance, economics or a business-related field
  •
  A master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, and/or a CFA charterholder (or equivalent qualification) is preferred
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
