Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Systems Admin (Unisys ClearPath MCP) Salary Range: $125-135K with bonus (The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and support Unisys ClearPath Libra MCP mainframe environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of mainframe systems while supporting hardware, operating systems, networking, storage, and integrations with Windows and Linux platforms. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Unisys ClearPath Libra MCP hardware, software, and operating systems. Perform systems programming, software installation, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning. Configure and support mainframe networking, storage, SAN connectivity, and related infrastructure. Administer MCP utilities including DMSII, COMS, CANDE/WFL, Security Center, NX/Services, Log Analyzer, and System Assistant. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, analyze logs and program dumps, and coordinate with Unisys support. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Hands‑on experience with Unisys ClearPath Libra MCP administration and configuration. Knowledge of systems programming, messaging, queuing, disk I/O, and database concepts. Experience with OPS Console, OC Manager, System Editor, Software Series VM, and software installation. Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP, iSCSI, and storage networking. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with DMSII, COMS, CCF, CANDE/WFL, NX/Services, OLEDB, Secure Transport, Log Analyzer, Programmer's Workbench, and MCP disk mirroring. Knowledge of EMC Storage, Cisco MDS, NX/NET, Win RPC, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Experience with system patching, Interim Corrections, performance tuning, and automation.
