Job Summary:
The Pediatric Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH PEDS) registered nurse is responsible for delivering specialized patient care within a pediatric cardiovascular surgical environment. This role involves practicing as a full partner on the healthcare team, utilizing evidence-based practices, and ensuring patient safety and family-centered care across various pediatric age groups.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, 0.0 years of experience in pediatric cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) circulating role, proficiency with clinical equipment and technology, and the ability to guide unlicensed assistive personnel in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of pediatric CVOR scrub experience strongly preferred.
• Additional Information: The nurse will work closely with the inter-professional healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, advocate for patient and family needs, engage in clinical inquiry and quality improvement, and participate in safety initiatives to minimize risks and improve clinical outcomes.
