Warehouse Supervisor

Essential Functions A Ziegenfelder Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for:

• Supervising all inbound and outbound processes; ensuring all inventory shipments are received
• Supervising, training, and evaluating all Freezers Leads, Freezer technicians, and other employees assigned to the warehouse
• Supervising warehouse operations, material movement, and personnel
• Maintaining adequate inventory, scheduling, and receiving shipments of raw materials
• Supervising warehousing of both raw and finished goods
• Responding to any significant changes in supply chain or demand and solving issues that may arise
• Maintaining correct inventory records utilizing computer software programs
• Ensuring all documentation up to and including SQF and carrier equipment report is accurate and completed in a timely manner
• Coordinating with Operations Manager to ensure adequate staffing and supplies daily
• Hold and Release/Quality inventory management- Ensures all policies and procedures are upheld regarding product on hold & ensure no hold product ships
• Communicating and working towards any department set goals and KPI's
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with all departments of the facility
• Maintaining continuous supervisory coverage by supporting all three shifts and responding to operational needs, including on-call coverage as needed

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent level of experience
• 3+ experience in a supervisory or management role required, preferably in food/manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of warehouse experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to operate electric powered forklifts and electric powered pallet jacks is a plus
• Must be available to work; day shift, afternoon shift or night shift to include weekends and holidays
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English

Physical Abilities

• Possesses visual acuity to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks
• May need to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly
• May need to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, push, and pull frequently during a shift

Working Conditions

• Subject to cold temperatures of less than 32F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment
• May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment
