As a Security Officer Patrol Guardian in Paramus, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout shopping areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted spaces while providing visible support for loss prevention awareness and general order at the location.
• Assist with closing procedures, crowd flow monitoring, and/or customer assistance during busy periods, special events, or emergency situations as directed by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
