MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED Certificate.Achieve within 2 years of employment, Level 1 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. (ADEQ) State certification as Water Operator (treatment and distribution) or Wastewater Operator (collection and treatment) is requiredValid Driver's License and CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle record review). For OITs, required to obtain a CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement within 6 months from date of employment.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:Level Operators must have knowledge, skill, and ability for the comprehension, application, and/or analysis of elements within the following:WATER TREATMENT:Monitor, Evaluate, and Adjust Treatment ProcessesLaboratory AnalysisComply with Drinking Water RegulationsOperate and Maintain EquipmentPerform Security, Safety, and Administrative ProceduresEvaluate Characteristics of Source WaterWATER DISTRIBUTION:System Information/ComponentsMonitor, Evaluate, and Adjust DisinfectionLaboratory AnalysisInstall EquipmentOperate EquipmentPerform MaintenancePerform Security, Safety, and Administrative ProceduresWASTEWATER COLLECTION:Operate EquipmentEvaluate and Maintain EquipmentMaintain and Restore Collection SystemMaintain Lift StationsMonitor, Evaluate, and Adjust Collection SystemPerform Security, Safety, and Administrative ProceduresWASTEWATER TREATMENT:Evaluate Physical Characteristics of Waste streamPerform Security, Safety, and Administrative ProceduresEvaluate and Maintain EquipmentOperate EquipmentMonitor, Evaluate, and Adjust Treatment ProcessesLaboratory AnalysisThis announcement will be used by all NTUA Districts.
