The Senior Accountant will help build the financial foundation for that next chapter. Position Summary The Senior Accountant serves as the financial leader of Haskins Hospitality's day-to-day accounting and reporting. The Senior Accountant is responsible for accurate books, timely financial statements, payroll, cash flow management, KPI reporting and tax and insurance compliance across G Catering and Studio 1 Catering. This role is hands-on, doing the work directly while building the processes, controls, and routines that support the company's growth. The Senior Accountant serves as a trusted financial partner to leadership, helping managers understand their numbers and make better decisions. This is a full-time, in-office position in Nashville. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close • Own the full accrual-basis monthly close.

• Manage accruals, deferrals, and event deposit tracking.
• Prepare monthly financial statements: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Report results for each division and on a consolidated basis.

Financial Insight & Leadership Support • Build and maintain KPI dashboards for leadership.

• Track revenue, gross profit, net profit, labor %, and food cost %.
• Lead monthly financial reviews with Executive Leadership and division managers.
• Explain results in plain language and recommend actions.
• Advise leadership on pricing, margins, and growth decisions.

Budgeting & Cash Flow • Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting.

• Manage cash flow planning around event seasons.
• Monitor spending against budget and flag variances early.

Accounting Operations • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Oversee deposits, collections, and vendor payments.
• Manage company credit cards and expense reconciliation.
• Maintain clean, organized accounting records.

Payroll & Compliance • Oversee payroll processing for all divisions.

• Manage sales tax, business tax, and local licensing filings.
• Maintain insurance coverage, including workers' compensation.
• Support Division Managers with wage and hour compliance and consistent pay practices.
• Partner with the outside CPA on year-end, tax returns, and audits.

Systems & Integration • Help unify finance and payroll systems across divisions.

• Strengthen financial controls and approval processes.
• Document finance procedures and best practices.
• Support financial integration of future business units.

Success Metrics • Monthly close completed accurately and on time.

• Financial statements and dashboards delivered on schedule.
• Payroll processed accurately and on time.
• Budget-to-actual variances identified and addressed.
• Leaders understand and use their financial reports.

Qualifications • 5+ years of accounting experience, including full-charge accounting. Accounting Manager experience is a plus. We welcome strong accountants ready to step into their first senior accountant role.

• Strong technical accounting skills, including GAAP and accrual-basis accounting with accruals and deferrals.
• Hands-on experience owning the monthly close and preparing complete financial statements in a small or mid-sized business.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Working knowledge of payroll, payroll tax, sales tax, and wage and hour rules.
• Strong skills in QuickBooks Online and Excel. Experience with payroll platforms is a plus.
• A track record of building reports and dashboards that non-finance managers actually use.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA is a plus, not required.
• Experience in hospitality, catering, restaurants, or events is a strong plus.
