Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center setting
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips — this is a hard-stop requirement for this role
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 in accordance with unit standards
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to Telemetry or Medical/Surgical floors as needed when the unit is overstaffed
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); candidates may select either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Demonstrated experience titrating and managing cardiac drips (hard-stop requirement)
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or high-acuity acute care environment
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Experience floating between Telemetry and Medical/Surgical units
