Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Contract | Night Shift (3x12, 19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center setting
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips — this is a hard-stop requirement for this role
• Monitor and manage a patient ratio of 1:4–5 in a fast-paced stepdown environment
• Float to Telemetry or Medical/Surgical floors when the unit is overstaffed, as travelers are first to float
• Document and chart patient care using Epic
• Participate in holiday coverage — candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); candidates may select either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required ; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, Stepdown, or IMC experience required
• Cardiac drip experience (titration and management) is a hard-stop requirement
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler; locals are accepted at a different rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or high-acuity trauma center environment
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Experience floating between Telemetry and Medical/Surgical units
• 48-hour shift availability is approved and welcomed
